How RoleWright handles your data.

Information we collect

• Account details such as name, email address, login method, and authentication events.
• Profile data you provide, including work history, skills, preferences, locations, resumes, cover letters, and job-search settings.
• Job and application data such as saved listings, fit analysis, tailored documents, submission status, ATS responses, screenshots or snapshots needed for debugging, and user review decisions.
• Browser extension and controlled-browser telemetry needed to save jobs, operate application forms, detect required review fields, and diagnose failures.
• Email or inbox data you authorize us to access, such as verification codes or job-search messages, when you connect an email provider for that feature.
• Billing and subscription data processed through Stripe, including plan, invoices, payment status, and limited payment metadata. We do not store full card numbers.
• Support messages, device/browser metadata, IP address, logs, and security events.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the RoleWright service.
• Score job fit, generate tailored resumes and cover letters, fill forms, and prepare application submissions.
• Pause for human review when an application field needs judgment, consent, or information we cannot safely infer.
• Send service emails, sign-in links, support responses, product notices, billing notices, and optional job alerts.
• Prevent abuse, debug failures, enforce limits, and protect account security.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, and operational obligations.

AI providers and application processors

RoleWright may send relevant portions of job descriptions, profile data, resumes, cover letters, and form questions to AI model providers and infrastructure vendors so the service can analyze, draft, and submit applications. We choose vendors based on product, reliability, security, and cost needs, and we limit the data sent to what is reasonably needed for the workflow.

When you ask RoleWright to submit or help submit an application, information from your profile and tailored documents may be sent to the employer, recruiter, ATS, or job board that operates the target application form.

How we share information

• With service providers that host, process, secure, email, analyze, or support the product.
• With Stripe and related payment processors for billing, invoices, subscription management, fraud prevention, and tax support.
• With employers, recruiters, job boards, and ATS platforms when you direct us to prepare or submit an application.
• With professional advisers, authorities, or counterparties when needed for legal, security, compliance, or business-transfer reasons.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of selling customer lists to data brokers.

Your choices

• You can update your profile, resume, and job-search preferences in the product.
• You can disconnect integrations where the product exposes that control, or contact us for help.
• You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by emailing support.
• You can cancel paid subscriptions to stop future renewals.

Some data may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, dispute handling, or backup integrity.

Security and retention

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the service. No system is perfect. We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve reliability, and meet legal obligations.

Children

RoleWright is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
